Quaternium-80

Quaternium-80 is a synthetic quaternary ammonium compound specifically designed for hair care applications, offering both conditioning and mild antimicrobial properties. It provides excellent substantivity to hair, depositing evenly along the hair shaft to improve manageability, reduce static, and enhance wet combing without the heavy buildup associated with some other quats. Formulators favor it for leave-on hair products and conditioning treatments where a lighter feel is desired compared to traditional conditioning quats like Behentrimonium Chloride.
