What It Does
Silicon Dioxide (fumed silica) is an ultra-fine, amorphous form of silica produced through high-temperature vapor-phase hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride. Its extremely high surface area (200-400 m²/g) and unique three-dimensional network structure make it exceptionally effective at absorbing moisture and oils, preventing powder clumping, and creating silky textures in cosmetics.
