Jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax ester extracted from the seeds of the Simmondsia chinensis desert shrub, native to the southwestern United States and Mexico. Its unique molecular structure closely mimics human sebum, making it exceptionally compatible with skin and providing non-greasy moisturization with excellent spreadability.
