Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Cetearyl Glucoside

Montanov 68 is a self-emulsifying wax composed of cetearyl alcohol (a fatty alcohol mixture) and cetearyl glucoside (a sugar-derived ester of glucose and cetearyl alcohol). It is a cold-process compatible, APG (alkyl polyglucoside)-based emulsifier that produces exceptionally stable oil-in-water emulsions with a characteristic rich, creamy texture and a distinctive 'lamellar liquid crystal' microstructure that closely mimics the skin's own lipid bilayer.
